Drill: bent-elbow press out

Purpose:
The bent-elbow press out drill simulates the high-elbow needed for efficiency in most strokes. While the drill is performed by standing vertically, imagine it being performed horizontally - this would, in effect, be the same positioning in a high-elbow freestyle catch.

How to perform the drill:
Stand at the edge of the pool, hand on the edge, at least shoulder width apart. Press up and out of the water slowly, then back down again.
